Pegasus wins major Hunter Business Award

Pegasus has won the prestigious Business Achievement category at the Hunter Business Awards which was attended by almost 600 people, including a table representing Pegasus, in Newcastle on August 5.

The annual awards, coordinated by the Hunter Business Chamber, are a showcase of the best businesses throughout the Hunter and reward those who have shown imitative and sustained growth.

Up against six other finalists that had been shortlisted from a much larger list of nominees, Peter Eason accepted the award on behalf of the entire Pegasus team at the black tie event.

The judging panel awarded Pegasus the award for the success of Onsite Track Easy. The judges noted that Onsite Track Easy was the first contractor management product to move to the internet and record data in real time.

Our very own Mel Seagrott was also up for an award. She was a finalist in the Young Achiever category which identified people under the age of 30 who had made a significant contribution within their business. Unfortunately Mel came second (we reckon!). The award was won by a staff member of the Newcastle Airport marketing team.

Hunter Business Chamber President, Brett Derwin said the judges had commended the outstanding achievement of finalists in all categories.

“The clear message is that this region has business leaders in every sector that can ensure our community continues to prosper,” Mr Derwin said.
