Pegasus is proud to announce the acquisition of iskills, a New Zealand-based competency management specialist and training consultancy service.
The acquisition marks the next phase of growth as we expand our services in New Zealand, where we manage safe workforces for clients including Lion, Fletcher Construction, Chorus, Otis Elevators, Hilton Foods, and City FM.
“This strategic acquisition will allow us to enhance the support we offer our New Zealand clients while establishing an important presence there,” said Pegasus CEO Adam Boyle.
“Having the iskills team join us means we are offering clients the local support and experience they expect and working in partnership with an organisation which shares our values and safe worker mandate.”
Pegasus has worked with iskills for almost two years, and finding synergies between the businesses has been the core of the partnership.
“iskills is the New Zealand leader in competency management frameworks, defining the skills required to work safely in high-risk industries,” said Adam. “This perfectly complements the Pegasus objective to connect competent workers across a network of industries, employers, and clients in our software platform.”
A significant portion of the value we ascribe to iskills lies in their Managing Director, Sharon Macquarie, and her staff.
“The iskills team are a well-respected part of the NZ competency and training landscape and we are confident they will make us better and accelerate our growth plans.”
iskills provides industry training, workplace assessment, and management consultancy services across New Zealand.
“Our objective is to keep workers safe, competent, and compliant in their fields of expertise,” said iskills Managing Director Sharon Macquarie. “We look forward to expanding our industry expertise with Pegasus, and to continue offering real value to our clients as a leader in competency management.”
Together, Pegasus and iskills manage the safety, training, and competency of over 3.5 million workers for more than 70,000 companies, offering workforce solutions and managed services in Australia and New Zealand.
“After securing a significant growth investment from Silicon Valley’s Accel-KKR in 2020, Pegasus has been positioned for rapid growth, with our sights set on supporting safe workforces worldwide,” said Adam. “We look forward to more strategic acquisitions and international expansion as we develop our world-class software.”
Pegasus has secured a federal grant to develop the artificial intelligence (AI) capability in our platforms.
“The greatest benefit of working with Pegasus has been the high level of innovation and features available in their packages that aren’t available in other products we have investigated.”
“I’d check Pegasus two to three times a day. It became a single source of truth for workers and safety on the project.”
"Working alone, the data entry was extremely high. I could spend one or two days entering 100 – 200 certs. The system is automatically updated, and I save two full days of work all up - yesterday I was done within 4 hours.”
“The Pegasus platform allows us to standardise the onboarding and induction of contractors nationally, with the robust system underpinning our contractor management process.”
“Pegasus is now used in managing safety, job planning and reviewing the commercial side of things. Pegasus is now integrated with everything we do.”
