The Pegasus Site Safety Supervisor Course: Transforming Training in Mining and Construction

The modern workforce demands dynamic and effective learning like never before. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated a shift online, causing an abrupt transition to remote training and e-learning worldwide.

The Pegasus RTO has responded to current changes, transforming the traditionally classroom-based Site Safety Supervisor Course to an online format.

That means you can now enjoy the cost-saving flexibility and convenience of a repeatable online course, with customised content for your organisation:

  • your risk assessments
  • your safety procedures
  • real-life scenarios from your worksites
  • your logo, colours, and images

Pegasus can customize four units for your organisation and workers, resulting in the same qualifications as the classroom Site Safety Supervisor course:

  • RIIRIS301D Apply Risk Management Processes (G1)
  • RIIWHS301D Conduct Safety & Health Investigations (G8)
  • RIICOM301D Communicate Information (G9)
  • RIIRIS402D Carry Out Risk Management Processes (G2)

Why An Online Site Safety Supervisor Course (OSSSC)?

The move to an online learning course presents numerous benefits to both learners and employers.

Save Time and Money

The OSSSC represents significant cost saving compared to the classroom format, and once customised, can be run as many times as you require for a fraction of the cost. Learners are no longer travelling to the classroom, which means no more hotel and meal bills.

Online delivery also means that the time to complete the course is reduced, and your workers are back on site, with their qualification, ready to deliver.

The duration of each unit is 120 minutes. This includes the online and assessment components.

This training is competitvely priced.

Flexibility

With all units online, your workers can complete the course from wherever and whenever suits your organisation. The need for scheduling and booking locations is no longer required.

The online course can be revisited at any time when workers want to refresh their knowledge, and the content is updated with legislation changes.

These courses are able to be built in multiple languages to allow further accessibility with your workforce.

Safe and Accessible

We all need to do our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Ensure your workers are safe by eliminating in-person training and encouraging social distancing with the online version of the Site Safety Supervisor training.

Higher Retention

Learning online boosts retention rates by 25 to 60 per cent, so your workers are more likely to remember and be able to implement what they learn.

Course Overview

On successful completion of the Online Site Safety Supervisor Course, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment – the same qualification they receive in the classroom version:

  • RIIRIS301D Apply Risk Management Processes (G1)

The application of risk management processes in resources and infrastructure industries.

  • RIIWHS301D Conduct Safety & Health Investigations (G8)

The communication of information in resources and infrastructure industries.

  • RIIRIS402D Carry Out Risk Management Processes (G2)
