ALDI Expands Pegasus System to Queensland

With contractors at Brendale and Stapylton registering in the Contractor Management System (CMS), Queensland becomes the fifth state where ALDI has implemented the Pegasus system.

The Pegasus-ALDI partnership has expanded again today as Queensland contractors begin registering in the CMS to work on site at Brendale and Stapylton.

The addition of Queensland expands the Pegasus solution to five states and eight sites:

New South Wales: Minchinbury and Prestonsnn

Queensland: Brendale and Stapylton

South Australia: Regency Park

Victoria: Dandenong and Derrimut

Western Australia: Jandakot

The success of the ALDI CMS – where contractors prove they have the qualifications and competencies to work safely for ALDI – is reflected in its expansion. The Pegasus solution has replaced previous safety platforms and is providing significant benefits to ALDI and its contractors.

Another good different way to start 2020!

Pegasus Funding Round Makes Big News

Our CEO, Adam Boyle, has been interviewed by local and national reporters as our growth investment is announced.

It’s not the attention we’re used to here at Pegasus, but it’s been a thrill to share the news of our Silicon Valley investment with our clients, partners and the public this week.

Not surprisingly, the announcement after months of hard work has been big news, with articles appearing in the Australian Financial Review, the Newcastle Herald and SmartCompany.

Pegasus Secures Growth Investment from Accel-KKR

We have truly hit the ground running in 2020, securing a significant growth investment from Accel-KKR, a leading Silicon Valley technology investment firm.

6.22 Million Logins with Pegasus in 2019

Pegasus site access solutions offer a great insight into just how many workers, companies and sites we keep safe each year.

2019 Pegasus Logpoint Insights

Pegasus site access products are recording massive numbers of workers logging in to sites with their access ID cards. Each card is linked to a worker’s profile, allowing us to record details like hours on site and number of workers using the Pegasus systems.

In 2019, the numbers looked like this:

• 6.22 million logins

• 88,142 workers representing 6,822 companies

• 70.41 million hours worked on site

• average shift of 11.31 hours

50% of these logins occurred in our mining division. Construction was our second busiest industry, recording 1.19 million logins – a 300% increase on the previous year’s total of 340,037.

Our manufacturing division has also recorded a significant increase, from 135,924 logins in 2018 to 269,808 in 2019.

Insights into Pegasus Data: December 2019

A review of the data from Pegasus systems for December 2019

Workers and Companies

12,203 new workers became active in our sites in December, with 1,398 new companies reaching compliance, a slight decline on the November number (1,484).

Our logpoints recorded the following totals for the month:

• 4.07M hours logged on site

• 40,230 workers representing 3,495 companies logged on at site using a Pegasus Logpoint

• The average shift recorded for the month was 9.48 hours

Worker Roles Approved

December figures are always lower from previous months. Although we had fewer workers on site due to public holidays, we did see an increase to the average shift from 9.07 hours to 9.48 hours.

Software Update: Site Filtering For Role Selection in Pegasus

A new configurable function in Pegasus Roles Portals will save time and make requirements for site access clearer.

The Site Selection function can be implemented in Pegasus Roles Portals. This can host multiple sites, for example, Lendlease Site Access.

This feature will require users to choose the site their worker will access, displaying only roles applicable to that site for selection. This eliminates the risk of the wrong role being chosen and site access being disrupted for that worker.

The new function will also support the auto-selection of some roles as a site is chosen, saving time as users register new workers.

We are pleased to add another piece of useful configurable functionality to our solution and look forward to offering it to users in the new year!

Insights into Pegasus Data: November 2019

A review of the data from Pegasus systems for November 2019

Workers and Companies

14,511 new workers became active in our sites in November, with 1,484 new companies reaching compliance.

Our logpoints recorded the following totals for the month:

• 4.71M hours logged on site

• 42,230 workers representing 3,677 companies swiped on using a Pegasus Logpoint

• The average shift recorded for the month was 9.11 hours

Worker Roles Approved

In November, we generally see a slight decline in role approvals, reflected this year with approved roles dropping from 12,627 in October to 11,612 in November.

The trend was bucked in our mining division thanks to the new Client Portal for our clients Yancoal and Whitehaven Coal – an increase of 85% in approved roles was recorded for those clients.

Verify the ID of Your Workers Instantly with Pegasus

Beginning with verification of identity, Pegasus can now offer a seamless online ID experience to reach compliance in our systems.

An important step in the Pegasus Rail Safety Worker (RSW) solution is the requirement for an ID check as workers are registered.

This extra measure increases security and reduces the chances of fraud.

In a major integration as part of continuous improvement, we are proud to introduce a new online feature to easily, quickly and accurately verify a worker’s identity online.

A New Partnership

We have partnered with greenID to verify names, addresses, dates of birth and documents against independent and reliable data sources – including government ID’s – online and in real time.

That means no more print-outs or trips to Australia Post, and no more time spent waiting for approval when you need workers on site, holding their cards.

“We’re delighted to be working with Pegasus to help them improve the efficiency of their client’s onboarding process” said Mathew Demetriou, Country Manager – ANZ, GBG.

“By integrating greenID, our market leading identity verification platform, it will help eliminate manual process and streamline the ID checking process for the Rail Safety Worker system.”

How Does It Work?

When users register a new worker, they will be prompted to complete their verification in the portal, providing details of ID sources for the worker as required. Simple and instant!

If you would like to speak to Pegasus about implementing an online ID check in your contractor management process, please email solutions@pegasus.net.au.

Please check back regularly for more news about how we continue to improve the compliance process for all users.

Managing Plant and Assets for Lendlease

Lendlease has expanded its Pegasus system to include an Asset Management module, where selected plant and equipment used on Lendlease Wireless sites must now be registered for use on site.

We are proud to expand the Lendlease Site Access solution to add our Asset Management product, which forms part of the overall contractor compliance process to improve safety outcomes at Lendlease.

With this expansion, Lendlease Wireless has complete insight into which plant and equipment are being used on site, and most importantly, that they are maintained to the strictest safety standards.

How Does It Work?

Asset Management works just like the Pegasus company or worker compliance process – Lendlease Wireless contractors access the Asset Management tile right from the system, selecting to add their plant or equipment and providing documents for verification as prompted. This time, instead of inductions and competencies, users upload photos, checklists, service history and manuals.

On verification by Pegasus, a unique ID sticker is issued to place on the equipment for easy scanning and site access.

The plant and equipment that Lendlease Wireless contractors will register includes heavy vehicles, trailers, cranes, generators and water pumps.
