Pegasus CEO Adam Boyle interviewed on Sky News

Adam Boyle was featured this week in the Sky News series The Alliance, with episode four focused on tech and education. Adam is uniquely qualified to discuss this topic as Pegasus secured a large investment from Silicon Valley private equity company, Accel-KKR, earlier this year.

We were proud to be included in the series and to showcase our leadership in Australian tech.

adam ceosleepout

On Thursday 18 June, instead of joining other Newcastle and Hunter CEOs at the stadium, our CEO Adam Boyle will be settling in for a chilly night in his own backyard.

Adam will be marking his 10th year supporting homeless services at the Sleepout, with a special focus on getting people into their own homes.

On Sunday, he spoke with Sky News about the event, and as the Newcastle Ambassador, Adam toured the Matthew Talbot Homeless Centre on Wednesday to see first-hand where these much needed funds are distributed.

In 2019, Adam raised an incredible $11,899. We are blown away by the generosity of our community each year.

Orica Joins Pegasus Manufacturing Solution

Orica company pre-qual

Located at the entrance to the Hunter Valley, Orica Kooragang Island’s operations supply products to the mining and infrastructure, agriculture, water supply, food, dairy and medical sectors. The facility includes an ammonia plant, three nitric acid plants, two ammonium nitrate plants and a product dispatch facility.

Orica Kooragang Island is classified as a major hazard facility (MHF) because it has more than the threshold quantity of specific hazardous materials. An MHF has to demonstrate to SafeWork NSW how it operates with an acceptable level of risk to people and the environment.

And that’s where Pegasus comes in!

To underscore and strengthen their safety, health and risk management commitments, contractors working for Orica Kooragang Island will now register and maintain their compliance in our online Workforce Management System.

Registering both their business and workers, contractors prove they have the systems, qualifications and insurances to work safely on site through the Pegasus system. Orica can manage its risk, and contractors are approved and verified.

We are proud to offer an upgraded compliance and safety system to our valued client, Orica, and to support its contractors through this new process.

Online Learning in the era of COVID-19

The modern workforce demands dynamic and effective online learning like never before. In fact, the global LMS market size is expected to grow from USD 9.2 billion in 2018 to USD 22.4 billion by 2023.

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated this even further by causing an abrupt transition to remote training and e-learning worldwide.

Companies have had to quickly adapt to the new methods of training for a workforce who now increasingly work in de-centralised locations. For many, this is a completely new way of working and one which demands a change in business strategy.

Two key takeaways from the past few months in relation to business behaviour has been:

1. Companies Are Going Tech At A Much Faster Rate

Change in industry standards has been fast! Keeping up with these changes demands efficient software solutions which do not require long set up times. Focussing on ways to ease internal staff pressures and unnecessary administrative tasks is now a top priority. Tech solutions such as an integrated LMS system are the fastest way to achieve this.

2. It Is Now Essential To Focus On Agility And Adaptability

The need for cost-effective, time-saving remote learning and training has increased dramatically, particularly for businesses reacting to rapidly evolving compliance laws and regulations. Maintaining worker inductions and training tied to safety outcomes is now more important than ever. It may now be a very good time for your business to implement systems to improve worker performance and competency – and ensure you are ready for new challenges.

The Pegasus LMS can be integrated into an existing Pegasus solution or as a stand-alone tool to alleviate the risk of non-compliance, and keep your workforce up to date with the latest regulations.

Focus on What You Do Best

Pegasus Principal Consultant Hiren Patel says our workforce management system gives everyone time back in their day to get on with the job.

Pegasus Welcomes TransGrid to Utilities Solution

TransGrid operates and manages the high voltage electricity transmission network in NSW and the ACT. They are committed to protecting the health, welfare and safety of employees, contractors and the public through demonstrated leadership in health and safety.

In other words, they’re the perfect Pegasus partner!

As an essential service provider operating in a high risk environment, contractors working for TransGrid will now register and maintain their compliance in an online Worker Safety, Authorisation and Training (WSAT) system.

That involves providing information about the type, scope and frequency of work their business does for TransGrid, and uploading documents for Pegasus safety specialists to verify. Registering workers means selecting the role they perform for TransGriduploading their qualifications and competencies (licences, tickets), and booking online inductions which workers complete before attending site.

Kicking off with a demonstration webinar to step contractors through registration, Pegasus is proud to welcome TransGrid and their valued contractors to our system. We look forward to a long and rewarding partnership!

7 Reasons to Integrate the Pegasus LMS

1. Saving time

Online Pegasus LMS courses can be completed any time, from any device, by any number of workers. The Pegasus LMS enables blended training – setting and booking classroom training online – to fit the delivery of your instruction.

Working with Pegasus to create, manage and deliver training saves hours of time compared to traditional, manual planning and delivery.

2. Saving money

With courses or classroom bookings completed online, the Pegasus LMS can remove the need for paper products, and even physical classrooms and travel related to training.

The scalability of training with Pegasus empowers fast, cost-effective, and repeatable learning outcomes.

3. Aligning to and expanding your message

Courses can be updated at any time in the Pegasus LMS to align with compliance changes or real-time updates.

The dedicated Pegasus eLearning team are your resource to shape and update your messages and keep your workforce safe and on track.

4. Tracking progress and performance

Exams and quizzes linked to your training and courses keep track of how well workers are understanding and retaining the information needed to keep them safe.

This data helps you identify and address skills gaps on the spot to get your workers trained.

5. Retraining and reminders

To support safety and compliance, the Pegasus LMS retains when a worker’s last training was completed and when it is due for renewal.

Auto-reminders promote continuous improvement and reduce risk by ensuring every worker’s knowledge is up to date.

6. Engaging and flexible

The Pegasus LMS allows you to create comprehensive and practical multimedia learning content.

Video, images, animation, audio and text are great tools to engage workers who are learning new information.

7. Real-time reporting and meaningful analytics

Create, download and share detailed reports on the progress of training, data on course completion, and other important analytics in the Pegasus LMS.

Evaluating the training and progress of your workers gives you full insight into the safety of your workforce, reducing your risk.
